The ATL Science Café on Climate Change & Sustainability facilitates casual and relaxed conversation between the general public and scientists, engineers, and researchers. Our goal is to demystify climate change by separating the fact from fiction, and to explore realistic and attainable sustainability goals.

  • What do you need to know about climate change?
  • How will climate change affect you?
  • Can you realistically adopt a sustainable lifestyle?

Frequently Asked Questions:

What do you do at a Science Café?
At the Science Café you can savor a cup of ChocoLate’s amazing coffee or espresso, a refreshing Italian Soda, maybe even a delicious pastry, as you listen to a short 20 minute presentation by a local scientist or engineer given in plain language. Following that, the rest of the time is devoted to friendly conversation and discussion on the day’s topic or climate change and the need for sustainability in general. The Science Café is designed to let you meet new people, connect with like-minded individuals, learn about climate change & sustainability, and speak your mind.
