The Georgia Tech CIMS group
participated in a field mission at Summit on the Greenland ice sheet. The goal of this mission was to study the impact of snow photochemistry
on atmospheric radical concentrations at Summit. The Georgia Tech team was responsible for measuring hydroxyl (OH)
radicals and nitric oxide (NO).The OH
radicals were measured using CIMS while the NO was measured using a
chemiluminescence technique.The Georgia
Tech team will return in March 2004 to continue measuring these radicals. For more information visit the UC Davis webpage.
